Houzewerk’s Team

We had the idea for Houzewerks after our neighborhood was hit hard by Hurricane Ian.  We were in the same boat, looking for home improvement vendors who would answer our call, show up when they said they would and do quality work the first time and not try to take advantage of the situation by price gauging.

We started working for a couple of contractors and understood their side of the story with homeowners.  We understood if we had great communication, answering calls, even if it was a text saying, “I am on a job and will call you later at a certain time”.  We understood if we had an easy-to-understand contract where our homeowner understood what was expected with the job and timeline and we fixed any errors on our part quickly, then we had a happy homeowner.

With the subsequent storms hitting Florida, we knew there had to be a better mechanism for connecting homeowners to fully vetted service providers.  Houzewerks was born.

Our directory makes it easy for homeowners to search, simply by entering a service category and county in the search bar. 

For providers, we promise to only have 5 providers per category and county.  That lessens the competition.  Providers never pay extra for leads and their business is not lost in a social media feed.

Compared to the national search engines, Houzewerks is local, Floridians for our local neighbors.  We are the face behind the website.  We are your neighbors, hoping to inspire your trust to help us build out Houzewerks.
